used and logicalused zfs attribute

  • As per zfs documentation, logicalused attribute takes compression and copies into account and gives the actual used space. When compression is disabled and number of copies is 1 why I am getting different used and logicalused numbers?

    root@node1:~ # zfs get all pool1/acctsm1/vol2 | grep logicalused

    pool1/acctsm1/vol2 logicalused 15.5K -

    root@node1:~ # zfs get all pool1/acctsm1/vol2 | grep used

    pool1/acctsm1/vol2 used 31K -

    pool1/acctsm1/vol2 usedbysnapshots 0 -

    pool1/acctsm1/vol2 usedbydataset 31K -

    pool1/acctsm1/vol2 usedbychildren 0 -

    pool1/acctsm1/vol2 usedbyrefreservation 0 -

    pool1/acctsm1/vol2 logicalused 15.5K -

    root@node1:~ # zfs get all pool1/acctsm1/vol2 | grep compression

    pool1/acctsm1/vol2 compression off local

    root@node1:~ # zfs get all pool1/acctsm1/vol2 | grep copies

    pool1/acctsm1/vol2 copies 1 local
