HA ring broken

  • ElastiCenter displays the message HA ring broken. What does the message refer to?

The HA ring broken message is displayed when the management network fails. You may have to analyze the logs to find out the reason for network failure.

I am seeing the same issue on my A50. From what I can see in the logs, the management network is working fine. What I see is, it’s trying to use a carpip (IP Address) that IS NOT configured on the system.

I am using a 172.x.x.x subnet on the system.

    2015-08-12 01:23:37.976 DEBUG cloudbyte.haconfiguration.manager [5628744020174928 system None] Node carpip: 10.254.18.5 from (pid=3059) updateHARingConfiguration /usr/local/agent/cloudbyte/haconfiguration/manager.py:250

    2015-08-12 01:23:37.978 DEBUG cloudbyte.haconfiguration.manager [5628744020174928 system None] Node carpip: 10.254.18.6 from (pid=3059) updateHARingConfiguration /usr/local/agent/cloudbyte/haconfiguration/manager.py:250

How can I fix the IP addresses used for HA?

    A50 – v1.4.0.352

First make sure that you are followed in the proper way to create HA setup.

    Please refer the below link.

Thanks for the reference link. It showed me right where those IP addresses were set. Seems the IP’s need to be part of the Management subnet, not just use the management interface to reach each other.

    THANKS,
    Brian
